Sound system compatibility Calaym currently supports the following sound systems: BASS (http://www.un4seen.com/) Version 2.2 to 2.4 should work; DirectX 3 or newer is required For MIDI playback, additional to the plugin a sound font is needed. The setup version of Calaym has an option to download the soundfont 'Chorium RevA by openwrld' (25MB). FMOD Ex (http://fmod.org/) Only the non-plugin version is supported. All version from 4.02.06 on should work, so some versions might have limitations. Requires Windows 98 or newer Beginning with Version 4.38, Windows XP SP2 or newer is required. Layer currently supports digital CD playback (CDDA) only. Might have issues with CD audio playback, esp. when multiple optical drives are present. FMOD (http://fmod.org/) Except version 3.70, all versions from 3.30 on should work.
